Privacy Policy

CelticTables is a static website. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment boxes and no advertising network following you around. This page explains the little data that is processed when you read a page here, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version

We do not set tracking cookies. We do not build profiles of readers. We do not sell or trade personal data. We cannot identify you from browsing this site. The only routine processing is the technical logging that any web server performs in order to serve pages and stay secure.

Who is responsible

CelticTables operates this website and decides how the limited data described here is processed. For anything privacy-related, the contact point is [email protected]; write to us and we will deal with your request.

What is processed when you visit

Pages are plain HTML and CSS served from our host. To deliver a page and to protect the site from abuse, the server and the network provider in front of it record standard technical information in access and security logs. That typically includes:

• your IP address, usually shortened or discarded after a short retention period;
• the date and time of the request and the page or file requested;
• the HTTP status code and the number of bytes served;
• the referring URL, if your browser sends one;
• your browser's user-agent string, which indicates browser and operating system.

These records are used to serve the site, diagnose errors, understand aggregate load and identify malicious traffic such as bots, scraping and denial-of-service attempts. They are not combined with anything else to build a profile, and they are not used for advertising. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and are then deleted or aggregated.

Cookies

This site sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no social-media cookies. Because nothing non-essential is stored on your device, there is no consent banner to click through — there is nothing to consent to.

Two narrow exceptions are worth naming honestly. First, the network provider that sits in front of the site may set a strictly necessary security cookie to distinguish genuine visitors from automated attacks; it carries no advertising identifier. Second, while the site is still being previewed or staged before launch, a preview or maintenance environment may set a strictly technical cookie so that the correct version is served to the person doing the checking. Neither is used to track reading behaviour, and neither survives as a marketing identifier.

Your browser also keeps its own cache and may store local settings. That happens on your device, under your control, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Fonts and other third parties

Typefaces used across the site are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which means your IP address and user-agent are visible to Google in order to complete that request. We pass no other information, and we receive no reader data back. If you prefer to avoid this, browser extensions and privacy settings that block third-party font requests will leave the site fully readable in fallback typefaces.

We do not embed social media widgets, video players, comment systems or advertising scripts.

Outbound and affiliate links

Some links to gambling operators are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination or its tracking partner may record that the visit came from us and may set its own cookies on your device. From that moment you are on their website, under their privacy policy and their cookie choices, not ours — read those documents before you register anywhere.

What comes back to us is commercial reporting in aggregate form: counts of clicks and registrations. We do not receive your name, address, email, payment details, account balance or betting activity, and we could not link such data to a specific reader even if it were offered.

Contacting us

You can reach us at [email protected]. If you email us — to report an error, ask a question or make a data request — we process the address and message content solely to reply, and we keep the correspondence only as long as it is useful for that purpose. Please do not send sensitive personal information, and never send account credentials or payment details.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. Technical data may be processed by our hosting and network providers acting as processors on our behalf, and by service providers whose infrastructure may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards permitted by GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses. Data may also be disclosed where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Acts you have the right to access your personal data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Because we hold no accounts and cannot connect log entries to a named person, we may need further information to locate any record about you — and if we genuinely cannot identify you, we may not be able to act on a request. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected].

You may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission in Ireland if you believe your data has been handled improperly. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

This site is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process data relating to minors.

Changes to this policy

If we ever add analytics, a contact form or any other tool that changes what is processed, this page will be updated before it goes live and the change will be described plainly here. The version published on this page is the version that applies.
