Terms of Use
These terms explain what CelticTables is, what it is not, and the basis on which you may use this website. By browsing the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
1. Who we are
The site is written, checked and maintained by the CelticTables Editorial Team. We publish under the site’s name rather than individual bylines — how we work is set out on our methodology page. For corrections, complaints or any question about this site, write to [email protected], which is the contact point for everything published here.
CelticTables is an independent publisher of information about casino games for readers in Ireland. We write about how slots, live dealer tables, roulette and blackjack work — the underlying probability, the house edge, the rule variations that change it, and the etiquette and practicalities of playing online. We are a website and nothing more.
CelticTables is not a gambling operator. We do not accept deposits, hold player funds, run games, settle bets, issue bonuses, operate accounts or process withdrawals. We are not an agent of any operator, and we are not able to intervene in a dispute between you and a gambling company. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim that CelticTables is licensed to provide gambling services in Ireland or anywhere else.
2. Information only — not advice
Everything published here is general information for an adult audience. It is not legal, financial, tax or professional advice, and it is not a recommendation that you gamble or that any particular game, stake or strategy is suitable for you. Decisions you make after reading this site are your own.
The maths we publish — house edge percentages, return-to-player figures, probability tables and strategy grids — consists of generic, widely published statements about the games themselves under standard rule sets. Those figures describe long-run mathematical expectation across enormous numbers of rounds. They say nothing about what will happen in your session, and they are not measurements taken at any named operator's tables. A game offered under different rules, side bets or paytables can carry a materially different edge from the standard version we describe.
3. Accuracy and the status of operator information
We take care with what we publish, but we give no warranty that the site is accurate, complete or current. The online gambling market changes constantly: terms, offers, game libraries, providers, ownership and availability can all change without notice, and pages can fall out of date between updates.
Where a listing on this site shows an offer, operator, licence, rating or other detail as “being verified”, “pending” or “to be confirmed”, that is exactly what it means: the check is not finished and we have deliberately left the field blank rather than repeat an unverified figure. Do not treat a placeholder as a statement of fact.
Before you register or deposit anywhere, read the operator's own terms and conditions, bonus rules and privacy notice on their site. Those documents govern your relationship with them; ours do not.
4. Eligibility and your responsibilities
This site is intended for people aged 18 or over who may lawfully access gambling information where they are. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the law that applies to you. You agree not to misuse the site: no attempt to interfere with its operation or security, no automated scraping that places an unreasonable load on it, and no use of the site for any unlawful purpose.
5. Affiliate links and independence
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you open an account through one of them, we may receive a commission from the operator. This never costs you anything and never changes the price or terms you are offered.
Commercial arrangements do not buy a place on our lists, a rating or a favourable write-up, and they do not stop us describing a drawback. Our ordering and our commentary are decided editorially. That said, you should read anything published here in full knowledge that the site is commercially funded, and weigh it accordingly alongside other sources.
6. Third-party sites
Outbound links are provided for convenience. We do not control third-party websites and do not endorse, and are not responsible for, their content, terms, security, availability or the way they handle your data. Once you leave CelticTables, these terms stop applying and the destination site's terms take over.
7. Intellectual property
The text, layout, design, graphics and code of this site belong to CelticTables or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may read, link to and quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish, copy or adapt substantial parts of the site for commercial purposes without written permission. Operator names and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively.
8. Liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site — including gambling losses, lost profits, lost data or losses arising from anything that happens at a third-party operator. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Changes and availability
We may amend these terms, alter the site or withdraw pages at any time. The version published here is the version that applies. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.
For questions about these terms, or to report something inaccurate on a page, contact us at [email protected]. We would rather correct a mistake than leave it standing.
